The Media Affairs Officer plays a vital role at the General Delegation of the PLO to the United States, based in Washington, D.C.
The Media Affairs Officer’s responsibilities include developing a media strategy to respond to current coverage of the Palestinian issue, as well as developing an initiative for new media coverage and contacts.
The Congressional Affairs Officer will establish, maintain, and advance relationships between the PLO and the Legislative Branch of the U.S. Government. The successful candidate will have experience working on the Hill, demonstrable knowledge of the legislative process, and familiarity with relevant committees and caucuses. This is not an entry-level position. Strong writing skills and broad knowledge of current Middle East events are required; previous work on Palestinian issues is highly valued.
The Public Affairs Officer plays a vital role at the General Delegation of the PLO to the United States, based in Washington, D.C. The Public Affairs Officer is primarily responsible for maintaining the Delegation’s relationships with civil society organizations in the US—including think tanks, NGOs, universities, minority groups, and religious groups—as well as expanding the Delegation’s network of alliances and contacts.
