The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies – Winter School 2023

The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS), announces the opening of registration for the fourth annual Winter School on “Political Culture Revisited: How Values Drive Politics”. The winter school is a 10-day program, running in January 2023, open to advanced graduate students and early career researchers in the social sciences and humanities.

The theme of the 2023 winter school, “Political Culture Revisited: How Values Drive Politics”, was selected to reflect emerging research trends in a variety of social science disciplines and to generate a fruitful discussion. This theme will be approached from an interdisciplinary perspective, enriching the winter school and participants’ perspectives.

Based on previous experiences, participants gained substantive knowledge from lectures delivered by well-known scholars and feedback from discussants. Participants were exposed to substantive knowledge unavailable in their home institutions and countries and had an unparalleled opportunity to network with regional scholars and other participants.

Registration is free for participants. The Winter School is scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar and the ACRPS will cover room and board in Doha for all participants throughout the duration of the forum. Grants assisting in the cost of travel from the participant’s country of residence to Qatar will be awarded on competitive basis. Please note that the winter school might follow a hybrid model or move online depending on the global health situation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
