The George Washington University’s Marc Lynch speaks with Joshua Statcher, assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Kent State University where he teaches and researches Middle East politics. He is a member of the Middle East Research and Information Project (MERIP), fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and author of Adaptable Autocrats: Regime Power in Egypt and Syria. Lynch and Stacher discuss power relations between Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) as well as looking back to the Egyptian revolution.
