#39 — September 26, 2014. The George Washington University’s Marc Lynch, director of the Project on Middle East Political Science, speaks with Hisham D. Aïdi, lecturer at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He is the author of Redeploying the State: Corporatism, Neoliberalism and Coalition Politics (2008) and co-editor of Black Routes to Islam (2009). Lynch and Aidi discuss his recent release Rebel Music: Race, Empire, and the New Muslim Youth Culture as well as jazz diplomacy, Hip Hop, and Islam.
