Aïdi, lecturer at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He is the author of Redeploying the State: Corporatism, Neoliberalism and Coalition Politics (2008) and co-editor of Black Routes to Islam (2009). Lynch and Aidi discuss his recent release Rebel Music: Race, Empire, and the New Muslim Youth Culture as well as jazz diplomacy, Hip Hop, and Islam.
