Job Opportunity: The Munathara Initiative

The Munathara Initiative is seeking highly motivated Arabic speakers for two positions based in Tunisia. The Munathara Initiative is an award-winning, grassroots forum aiming to give the Arab youth a voice in debates that discuss some of the region’s most pressing political and social issues. By broadening participation through channels like our website, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, as well as live regional debates, we are establishing an open, pan-Arab, audience-driven forum for debate on current affairs that encourages youth and marginalized communities in the region to voice their opinions.

The Munathara Initiative is accepting applications for an outreach manager and events manager until July 27, 2014.

Role of the Outreach Manager
The Outreach Manager will lead outreach activities throughout the MENA region, overseeing debate training workshops and working with Munathara’s trainers to engage youth in several Arab countries. As such, the selected candidate will be the main point of contact between Munathara’s participants and the organization and should be conversant in multiple Arabic dialects while possessing superior communications skills. The Outreach Manager ensures that participants engaged in on-the-ground workshops get flawlessly engaged in the online competition process, and facilitates their participation in the live debates. The chosen candidate needs to be driven, organized, and a great communicator. This position will report to the Deputy Director of the Munathara Initiative, and will also supervise junior level staff.
