Eileen O’Connor is the deputy assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asia and senior director of communications and public diplomacy in the office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Noah Tucker is managing editor of Registan.net, an online community focused on providing original reporting and analysis on the former Soviet republics of Central Asia in order to add context missing in media and policy discussion of the region.
