Joshua Stacher is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Kent State University where he teaches and researches Middle East politics. He is a member of the Middle East Research and Information Project and is a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He discussed his recent book, Adaptable Autocrats: Regime Power in Egypt and Syria.
