The George Washington University’s Marc Lynch, director of the Project on Middle East Political Science, speaks with Curtis Ryan, assistant professor of political science at Appalachian State University, and author of Inter-Arab Alliances: Regime Security and Jordanian Foreign Policy and Jordan in Transition: From Hussein to Abdullah. Ryan and Lynch discuss reforms and the political temperament of Jordan in light of the 2011 Arab Uprisings as well as the effects of the conflict in Syria on the kingdom.
